The Silhouette

Maybe done interiors once or twice before.. so it's rather new to me.

Car [doh]

Thought I'd try do some vehicles, something completely alien to me.

Fear

Into characters recently.. This was something coming up from random doodling. Her strings are supposed to represent fears that keep her from living life at the fullest.. Fears of rejection and deprecation.

Nude

Hard without ref, but it was fun.

June 12, 2008

Duel

Working less frantic and trying to put some reason behind each stroke. 2h tops I think.

June 8, 2008

Skull cave

Trying to draw more than relying on happy accidents.

'Miner' speedpaint

Around 40 mins.

May 24, 2008

Home sweet home

Trying to incorporate more soft brushes, it does wonder for lighting.. also focusing a bit more on drawing and brush stroke economy.

May 21, 2008

Bad odds

Semi- speedy, trying to capture some drama along with the old enemies color and lighting. Oh and I decapitated both main actors..

Mass & Trees [speedies]

May 13, 2008

Another environment speedy..

Enough of foilage, something else next time :)

May 6, 2008

Garden

Continuing to explore colors and light, the 2 things I love most about painting.

May 4, 2008

Gunpoint

This one took somewhat longer than 8mins. I was playing with a rough textured look in opposite to some earlier posts that had cleaner simplified style.

I like this approach because the noise / chaos makes me see things that I can develop further, the backside of it (for me at least) is that it would take more time to polish than if I would go with a cleaner approach from start.

Quicketyquick

Clocking in under 8 minutes, fastest speedy I've done and it was fun too..

April 28, 2008

And another one..

Going for some strong colors, in contrast to more muted colors in the past.

Speedpaints

A couple of fairly quick speedies, playing with some soft brushes and trying to find interesting compositions.
